Recovery insurance for a 19 year old

    hi lads i am buying a lorry for doing recovery mostly for my own cars and vans that i buy and sell.

    i am in the prosess of geting my rigid licence.


    but was just woundering about insurance on the lorry how much it would cost. ????

    Call a broker. Despite the fact that you've given us bog all information, nobody here can predict premiums

    Generally insurers ask for age, experience, vehicle type, location etc.... I don't want it though. As said, nobody here can predict a premium.

    It won't make a blind bit of difference, everyone's quotes are different, and you won't find many other 19 year old recovery truck drivers on here anyway.

    Best of luck with the business, not too many entrepreneurial 19 year olds making an effort in these difficult times.
    Its not too likely you will find anyone similar enough to get a comparative quote. Best thing is to ring around as many insurance companies and brokers as you can to get s good idea of the premium. It will vary enormously.

    thanks for the conifdenice boost. well am in the trade now for a couple of years now so this is the next big thing.

    Far as I remember if your truck is a recovery truck, that's all you can do with it, if your transporting functional cars then it's a lot more complicated with regards to insurance, training, working hours etc,
