Adding a bag on Ryanair

Im booked to fly with my daughter to UK in a week - I booked and paid for one checked in suitcase, there and back.

Now on my return I may buy another case in UK. If I check in for outbound flight only (with case) can I check in return flight seperately and add a suitcase?? Or can I check in for both out and back and then add another case online? Thanks for any clarification!

Can you not just turn up at the check in desk and pay the €50 charge for a bag to go in the hold?

Found this. Each passenger may check in up to two checked bags upon payment of the applicable checked baggage fees by electing to purchase a checked baggage allowance of either 15 kilos or 20 kilos when make their initial booking. After the booking is made checked baggage can be added to a reservation via the Manage My Booking facility up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. The checked baggage fees are charged per person/per one way flight and are discounted when booked on-line. Higher baggage fees apply when checked bags are purchased via a Ryanair call centre or airport ticket desk, during peak periods and on selected routes. Fees may vary from time to time but it is the rates in force at the time you book and/or pay for your checked baggage allowance which apply.

Wow thanksI scoured the whole site and couldn't find anything! Thank you. But still cannot find out if I can add a bag AFTER checking in online. The whole website is not very clear!

Same problem as myself, flying on friday and have to add bag. On the website its saying €25 per flight per 15kg bag and €35 per flight per 25kg bag.

If you are going somewhere for over a week pay the extra for 25 kg. went to Portugal with family for 9 days . 3 of us so we each has our baggage allowance as well. Good job cos 15 kg in a big bag is nothing !!! Bag was half full going out and it was bang on 15 kg . A little over coming back but squashed some stuff into canon bags.
Waste of time unless ya pay for 25 kg

Going for a week myself but bag is not for me. For the girlfriend. I have my stuff in carry on and will do me.

Scroll down to the appendices for a table of baggage charges. When you are checking in it says that no further changes can be made so I would assume that you cannot add any bags once you have checked in.

The only way you could possibly do it would be to call or to try at the airport which according that that table of charges would cost you anything from 60 - 150!!!

Reckon I'll have to pay whatever they are charging to book a bag in couldn't handle the stress of this while boarding:eek:

Ryanair are fine if you stick to the rules and get what you need before clicking the final `check in` button. To be fair it does give you plenty of chance to add things before your final check in and does warn you that no further changes can be made once you check in online.

I don't disagree. Just need to bring more than I anticipated and will now have to pay the cost. Changing your mind is not a good idea with ryanair!

Can you get any of the things you want to take in your case at your final destination? For example when I travel I never take any toiletries/sun cream/food and just buy them at my destination. They do take up quite a bit of room.
