UHF Aerial

my mother has a TV that receives the analogue signal, i was thinking of buying her a Saorview box, but on the Saorview website it states that a 'rooftop UHF aerial' is needed with a standard TV

Where can i buy one of these rooftop UHF aerials? If possible a waterford location.

Are you sure you haven't got one already?

TV3 & TG4 analogue reception at the least would suffer without one in the Waterford area, I would think.

I have digital TV with UPC, she wanted a fourth TV in the kitchen so I connected to the old UPC analogue connection. But when the shut-off happens in a few months she'll be without the kitchen TV.

The analogue switchoff won't affect any TV connected to a UPC analogue TV point - http://support.upc.ie/app/answers/detail/a_id/320/~/analogue-switch-off / http://support.upc.ie/app/answers/detail/a_id/321/~/analogue-switch-off-%26-upc-customers.

Terrestrial Analogue switchoff (ASO) only applies to TVs currently connected to an aerial for TV reception.

UPC has not set a date to switchoff its analogue cable TV network.

thanks for that info, i had no idea UPC was standalone from the switchoff
