Your driving along the n81. The limit is 100. You are driving at about 98-99 going by the speedo. A car comes up behind you very gradually. Pulls a mental dicey overtake on a continuous white line near a blind corner and then settles in front of you at 96-98.

Pass him/her back and continue on your way at the speed you were going?

Slow down slightly and stay behind him enjoying the draft and reduced fuel consumption?

Shake your head and mutter about the state of driving in Ireland?

Give him enough space to have his accident without involving you. If he's determined to be an idiot the best thing you can do is stay out of range.

At a cost to you of 5k/h though?

which would add about 3 mins on to a 100Km journey.

So you're essentially asking should you re-overtake someone on a continuous white line...?

Deploy your Cloaking device. That will freak him out.

Least stressful way of dealing with it is to go straight to acceptance.

You wont be able to change their silly behaviours from your position no matter what you do, so just accept his recklessness and be happy that you are not so foolish in life.

Slow down to 90, pull in to let approaching traffic pass and let them deal with the asshole.

It never ceases to amaze me the effect that a broken line can have on slow drivers.

That's why I drive about 110kph so I don't get assholes like that driving in front of me.
Ridiculous overtaking by that idiot..I can never understand people like that..
