Upgraded to a newer secure wave 10/70 panel . Noticed that the ID beams and older Mach 1 or 2 bell box seem to have a flickering haze when lighting up . As the lights on the bell flash side to side when the led lights up its bright then dims it then changes over to the next led which does the same . When the led on the ID beam lights up it also does a little dim .. Its the same effect as when the lights in a house flicker/dim . It seems like a PSU problem ?

Never seen that on a 10-70. Put your multimeter on the aux 12v and see if the voltage is dropping. I would also disconnect each powered device one by one and check each time if the problem goes. Could be a faulty device, most likely the old bell.

Got it sorted . Thanks for the reply
The problem was due to the fact that i didnt have the back up batt connected . Seems as though the psu was seaching for the batt
