I want to study Film and Broadcasting in DIT but I'm afraid I won't get the points. Is it possible to do a level 7 course that is similar, say Carlow TV and Media Production, for a year and then transfer to DIT?

Once you meet the requirements for the course then i dont see why not. I done it last year transfering in from a level 7 on to the final year of a level 8.

Best bet is to contact DIT and ask them and see if theyll have a look at the carlow course to see if it covers the required modules to allow you to enter in 4th of the Level 8. You might require bridging modules or if there is electives in the Carlow course want you to take certain ones.

    Hope that helps.
