Hi, does anyone know if I could start playing drums somewhere in Galway? I've never tried it so I'm looking for begginer level. Let me know if you have an idea about some schools, classes or private teachers.
    Thanks! :)

Try Barry at Galway Drum School

*Have your speakers turned down when you go to his site. It's not the most intuitive or inviting website!*

I was taught at Funky Drums, based in Knocknacarra. Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Laid back atmosphere, you learn to read sheet music, learn great songs, participate in sessions, and play with a live band twice a year. Bodhran and Samba group drumming are also taught.
