Noticed in the heavy rain over the last few days. There is water leaking in at the drivers front door and running down to the footwell. Is there any common leaks on these such as door seals etc that I should check?

    Sean,

I have the same problem with my MK3. In my case the seal that runs down the A-pillar (end ends in a triangular shape) is the culprit. I suppose it just soften up during the years. I can clearly follow the watermarks down the door.
But you should check the water shedder behind the door trim, that is a common issue as well.

inner door card seals are a common problem on these, you can reseal it with tiger seal or similar, had the same problem on our mk3,once it was resealed it never happened again;)

I dont think an inner door seal would be the problem with water running down the door from roughly where the mirror bolts on?

I might seal up the pannels on the doors anyway. Had to do it on the leon before. was a common problem on them too

    I did that already ;)
Our problem is the seal that runs along the edge of the roof and down the A-pillar.
