little bit harsh lighting for my liking but I guess that was the weather... nice photos.. well done

I have to agree the pics do sorta hurt my eyes. I think the exposure is a wee bit too much, you should pull back the highlights and probably the contrast a bit...

2nd and 4th pics are my favorites out of the lot...

They seem very surreal. Like too much sharpening/tonemapping/topaz adjust style processing on them which seems to be the in thing right now?

A set of graduated filters for the sky in the third one, perhaps?

I just got a set myself and the difference in my photos is amazing. It makes the sky interesting rather than a white block.

I have mixed feelings about the set, I like them because its Bruge and I've never had a bad experience there its so quaint and always feels like you have traveled into a fairy tale. I like the composition and symmetry of the shots but its such a beautiful and almost unspoilt place that when you add any modern camera filters it becomes less magical ..if that makes sense?. There are certain things I'll process heavily like supercars and modern architecture but places like Bruge are fantastic enough to not need such techniques. The sky is a little blown out and a set of filters would have done wonders but all in all they are good shots and I'd have to say the 2nd one is my favorite.

Got a graduated filter myself and they really make all the difference! No longer blown out skies!! And don't need to bother with all the HDR faff...

One thing about the sun was that it was blaring down. Very harsh lightning to contend with.

The processing leaves a lot to be desired (IMO). Did you shoot raw or jpg? As ps3man says, the light is very problematic.

#4 is my favourite, but they do hurt my eyes a little due to the processing ? ...

Been there for New Years and think it is the sort of place that is best visited in winter, gives it that "fairytale" quality which doesn't seem to come across in the photos.
