There is a nice picture in this article from the RTE Digital Blog here

It will work with all samsung tv's and blu ray players from 2011 & 2012 which is a big bonus for those people who have those products.

As an owner of a smart TV, where I bought it thinking I could stream live TV, I stongly urge you not to buy one.
]It does not work, you cannot stream live TV, the broad band infrastructure in Ireland does not support this concept.
There are lot of useless apps released by Samsung, none of them allow you stream any channels of interest. RTE works every now and then, sky go does not work
You are better off buying a traditional flat screen TV and a PC and stream from the PC…… it is over priced, piss poor support and does not work!!!!!

    Thx for the tip.

I just want to warn other "gullibles" who like the idea of a smart TV and believe the sale pitch.....and possibly have more money than sense!

Smart TV's have other uses. Netflix for example is useful. Also music video streaming services prove to be popular in my household.

I think the quality of the picture at 400mhz & the fact that I have Sky 3D was the reason I jumped on it..... No salesman to hold my hand either....

The apps are getting better, I've just watched You Tube in HD without flaw....

'Tis the future I tells ya.

Thank you for contacting RTÉ player with your query.

Where possible, we endeavour to make as many programmes as possible available in the RTÉ player to viewers.

However, due to various copyright licensing agreements, some programmes can only be streamed to viewers on the RTÉ Player Desktop. The Walking Dead is one of these programmes.

    Best wishes,

    The RTÉ player team
