Awaiting FIS but job closing?

Hi would anyone know what to do in this situation. My husband was unemployed for 2 years and luckily got a job in March this year.It is for 3 days per week so he applied for FIS in April.

We are still waiting for it to be processed, but his job informed him today that the company will be closing by the end of the month.

My question is will my husband still be entitled to the back dated money due from the time his application to FIS went through up until the end of the month? Or will the whole application be null and void now that his job is gone?

    Thanks.

Yes, they should pay him for the period that he was entitled to claim FIS.
