My Friend has a HP DV6000 notebook and the GPU is gone. (Award Bios, 1 long beep, 2 short).
After a bit of research it is a common problem and requires the GPU solder to be reballed.
Anyone able to this or/and know the cost?

I've no idea where you would get it done, just keep in mind some people may offer a "service" where they take a heatgun to the GPU which is a temporary fix but causes way more damage in the future. Make sure you get it reflowed by a professional with proper reflow equipment. How old is the notebook? You may be able to get a warranty repair due to it being a well known problem, especially if its <3 years old. Nvidia Defects is a great site for info and success stories, if willing to fight you may get a repair/replacement for free.

It's for a friend and I've seen all the "Oven", "Hair Dryer" and "Heat Gun" tricks and was looking for a professional reflow, the laptop is 6 years old but still in excellent/near mint condition.
Way too old to be looking for repair based on defects, even so the owner doesn't want to go throught the hassle. After some research there was a recall in 2009 if the purchase was within 24 months.
    She missed out on it.

Reflowing is not a great idea. It might work for a little while, but could go bad in days, weeks or maybe months

Reballing is what you need (taking the graphics chip off the motherboard and re-soldering it back on). I couldn't advise you on a place to go to but I would expect it to cost in the region of €80-€100
