Just checked out the Clerc tackle on Max Evans. Great tackle, great chance blown too!

Echoes of Hickie in Paris. Superb.

Great tackle but pretty poor finishing from Evans! Hand-off came too late.

Thanks ducky (oooh errr, that sounds a bit dodgy!). Mind you, I thought the logic was impeccable - could never lose!

lol oooh errr well I never --your logic was impeccable :p

What do you think of Engerland and Wales tomorrow ?

Weather is important for both games IMO. Brisbane forecast is for crappy weather, and that'll favour Wales, so I definitely like the +5

England - SA will be a bosh-fest. Forecast is for showers, but better weather than we've seen here! England are in decent enough fettle and with good spirit in the camp (and knowing the next two games are at altitude) I think they'll probably keep within the +8

  • Total points lines are worth looking at if weather is gonna be crappy...

Agree about the tackle but I think he could have got the ball down if he'd held onto to it for another couple of seconds. I know he has to "release" but the 'ref wasn't going to blow that quickly.

0:00 - The team say hi!

2:40 - In rainsoaked conditions, Scotland outmuscled a weakened Australia in Newcastle. A game only for the purists!

9:15 - We also look ahead to Australia's next test against Wales on Saturday, a game that is set to excite!

17:30 - It is set to a bish-bosh battle as South Africa host England, with South Africa starting a new era under new coach Heyneke Meyer.

28:20 - In another dour round of games, Toulouse and Toulon secured their places in the Top14 Final at Stade de France. Will the French aristocrats or the 'mercenaries' take the French title?

50:25 - It was a historic day for Irish Rugby as the Ireland U20s stunned their South African counterparts in the IRB Junior World Championship.

55:30 - It's the first test between Ireland and New Zealand, with Ireland still searching for that long awaited elusive win over the ABs. Our panel are less than confident of that wait coming to an end soon!

1:09:50 - Bet of the Week!

Episode 45 to be recorded tonight, with Doc returning as host. We're hoping to have jacothelad on.

Time constraints permitting, we'll get into the scrum trials, Fitzgerald's situation, the effers from England who want to change the HEC along with the regular stuff like the summer internationals.

  • Think you should try do something similar to "What it means to be a ..." (tight head etc) part as a regular.

so one episode "what we want/look for in a Scrum Half" and get the panel's views
another episode "what we want/look for from a full back" etc etc etc

Always interesting to see different teams' fans views on the matter. Some teams want an outhalf that simply shovels **** and kicks everything. Another team might want a decision making 9 that calls all responsibilities on themselves (Genia).

Obviously a lot of it will be interlinked / dependent on what else is around the specific players, but it could still be an idea.

Maybe we could try to get David Barnes back on the show, no better guy to talk about what it's like to be a prop!

The "what we want from x" idea is good too.

I do hope you give the Premiership rugby Ltd. debate a bit of balance, but I have faith you will!

Doc is your man for that, I'll just have my...eh... emotional opinion! (see my first post in that thread for an idea! :pac:)

Whiff of Cordite deserves most credit for coining - to the best of my knowledge - the term 'ambipropsterous'.

It's probably a word that will sadly fall out of favour if, as appears likely, 23 man squads become the norm at international level.
