Subsistance Rates

    Hi all,
    Just wondering if someone could answer a quick ques for me. I work in a company that pays it's delivery drivers a subsistance rate per day. It is their normal job to deliver items for the company. Therefore should they be getting subsistance?

    I presume you're talking about tax-free subsistence payments.

    Where travel is an integral part of a person's employment (e.g. bus/lorry/van driver etc...) an employer can pay tax-free subsistence. See paragraph 4.2 of the following:
