    Hi everyone,

Anyhow, droped my laptop, earlier today:(, still working but the headphone jack is broken, fell onto the headphone jack, and all the plastic that holds the jack in is all gone

Anyways, just wondering is there anyway of swapping the headphone jack and line in jack? Already tried it with the realtek software but no joy, so i was thinking if i took the back off the laptop maybe i could swap the wires, i dunno, i have a souldering iron somewhere in the shed so that wouldnt be a problem.

    Thanks in advance:D

Not much of a getto fix you can do on that, if you only need it for headphones get a bluetooth adapter if your laptop doesn't already have bluetooth and a set of bluetooth headphones.

You could get a cheap USB audio adapter like this until you could get the motherboard replaced.

You can get them in computer shops , I think I saw some in Click the other day. If you can wait for a few days there are Irish sellers that sell the exact same product on eBay as well, just search for them.
