    Hey All,

We're about 6 months into a 12 month UPC contract (renewed in December) but will be leaving the country in August - what do UPC usually charge to terminate early in those circumstances? Has anyone here done it? The website says 150 or 300

Can i mitigate some of the cost by switching down to a lower package before then? we've been with them for years if that's likely to affect it at all, the recent renewal was an upgrade to our previous package

Appreciate any info anyone here has :)

Phone them from the airport and cancel it

No harm downgrading your service to the basic one you need about 2 months before ending the service.

Write to them at least 30 days prior to the date you want to end service.

Let them know why you are cancelling.

Best of luck with your move.

I got out of the cancelation charge before as I was moving to a house that didn't have UPC. Rang them up told them the address I was moving to and asked could they move the service, they said no and then cancelled it with no charge.
