I've been looking at the price of flights from Oz or New Zealand to South America and it's very scary stuff. I've read other threads about the route being expensive but does anyone know what a reasonable price nowadays is for the route? Would be looking at travelling any time in Sept - the prices at the mo are 1k at best.…

Would be looking at travelling any time in Sept - the prices at the mo are 1k at best. But I'm wondering if these will fall over the next month or so, or if this is as good as it gets?! I don't want to want to find myself up a creek without a paddle and being forced to pay 2k nearer the time!

You could spend that money on joining a yacht across the pacific.. Just an idea. Easily done apparently.
