Contact Lens wrong reading

Hi, I’m an irregular contact lens wearer. I haven’t had an eye test in 2 and half years. I know my vision has got slightly worse since. Recently, I went into Specsavers and asked for a new 1 month supply. The woman gave me one box- containing 3 contacts, with the same -1.25 reading. I know there is a stigmatism in one eye and they have different readings.. but went ahead with this anyways, as I was only using them for emergency purposes to do my driving test. I'm not entirely sure what the correct reading for that eye is as i was never properly told and they didn’t write it down for me.

However they worked fine and improved my vision greatly.

I was just wondering though, not really seeking medical advice as such , but just a curiosity- what kind of damage could this do in the long run?

Should I have been sold the same eye reading for both eyes in the first place?

    Thanks!
