If we were in England and a member of Parliament went on national radio and admitted to making a false VAT return ( Criminal Offence ?) he would have resigned 15 minutes later - our TDs go off to Poland to watch the football.

Can I walk into a Police Station today and make a complaint based on what I heard on the radio or do I have to wait for the Revenue to take a case ?

    What a country.

What a country indeed - Mick Wallace seems to be viewed as some sort of folk hero despite his recent conviction for failing to pay into the Construction Workers Pension Fund money he had deducted from his workers wages , how low can you get ?

What is the difference here between the lad who got jail time over the garlic and Mick Wallace TD?
