    Hey guys:)

Im after buying a 2000 ford fiesta a couple of weeks ago and notice when i turn on the car (not starting the engine) battery and oil lights show on the dashboard.
When i start the engine however, they both disappear...any idea what i should do/how i should do it?

Your first car OP?? Every car does that, nothing to worry about!

Every car does this when you turn the key on. :)

I think it's a light check ( you can check that all the warning lights are working )

Yes thats correct OP, thats what they are suppose to do.If they stay on when the engine is running, or any dash lights for that instance stays on, then you should get it looked at.If you see the light that has an oil can coming on,
    DONT
drive or even run the engine at all, or you will total the engine.

If you have a handbook, have a read of it under warning lights.

Actually have a general read of it, it can tell you alot of useful info on your car.
