    Even still, it's a lot easier to answer in Irish, just write down exactly what you hear, you don't even have to spell it right ;)

    ^^^ This. It's only a few marks at the end that they can take off for poor Irish.

    Why would you even want to answer in English? If you know what the answer is in English then you clearly know what the word is in Irish. Who cares if you can't spell it -- just give it your best shot. You won't lose many marks for incorrect spelling.

    Yes for both ordinary and higher level the listening is in Irish.

    For languages other than Irish I think its through English.

    Since we're on about the listening, am I the only one who cannot understand the Ulster dialect for the life of me?
