English essay, will they accept it?

Okay so the essay titles were a disaster for me today. I had a great idea for the mistaken identity one but chickened out, panicking that my idea of a mistaken identity was wrong. So I looked at the picture of the little girl looking up at a giant chair and well, was inspired. I wrote about an old man who felt so tiny in this big world because of how alone he was after his wife died. Afterwards I realised that we were probably supposed to write about the little girl.

Will they accept my interpretation of it? I kind of took the metaphorical sense of it.

they should definitely accept it. the pictures are supposed to serve as inspiration and you are free to interpret them how you like!

I'm not sure what the exact question is, but by the sounds of it, the purpose mark might be lower.

Something along the lines of: write a composition inspired by the picture on page 1 of paper X

ah, they'll definitely accept it.it's not about a right or wrong answer,or even about having a great plot, it's more about 'how' it's written, the expressions, descriptions, grammar etc.
sounds like a great story!i remember for my JC, we were given a list of words and asked to write an essay containing ALL the following words, but i read it wrong and thoiught it was just ONE of the following words....anyway,i still did really well, so you'll be grand!

That was such an annoying choice. I never do the short story so i was forced to do d one on friends. I got 3 pages but it was gay. my superintendent read some of it and im pretty sure that I'll end up in the back of his van by the religion exam
