Hi guys. I am a 20 year old male who wants to begin acting this summer. I have always being interested in it and I see now as the time to begin as I am at home for the whole summer.

I am from Sligo and I want to know what is the best place in Sligo to get started in acting?

Can someone tell me which place is the cheapest but yet also the best at the same time? Or even name out all the potential places and possibilities, and outline the pro's and cons of each one.

    Thank you in advance.

County Sligo Youth Theatre usually have a summer program, I think they're main show is in early spring though. The Blue Raincoats are starting a course in the near future but I think it will be full time, not just for the summer.

There's always the DLI summer courses in august (in Limerick I think), I went a couple of times years ago and there is usually a couple of interesting tutors there and you can meet some pretty dedicated and talented amateur people from around the country.
