INSULATED PLASTERSLAB INFORMATION

What is the best way to dryline a house built with 9" cavity block with black patches on the walls inside. I was thinking of battening out the walls to leave an air gap behind the insulated slabs but I need 82.5mm boards to come up the U value and then the battens are making the rooms smaller again, going to lose 100mm overall. Also does that air gap behind the slab need to be ventilated and if so how, thanks.

    Is external insulation an option?
By 'black' do you mean mould?
If EwI was impossible I'd be looking at why the wall is damp, solving this, the convention method is adding a water proof membrane and then drylining by a max of 50mm to reduce the risk of internal condensation.
My preferred option might be hemp lime or similar thermal mass product that'll allow the wall to realise any moisture on the inner block surface
