Turning on my boiler from my mobile..?

Folks , you that know best , are there any reliable systems that I can add to my existing system to turn on the heating and hot water? I've an oil fired condenser boiler , to turn on the hot water I just flick a switch in the hot press , however the heating is a bit more complex... each room has a wall mounted LCD stat .

I'd like to be able to ring or text a number from my brick of a phone that would turn the boiler on , timers don't really work as I could end up working later than expected any evening.

A very good one on the market is "Climote". I am not sure of how many zones can be run from it but I am sure if you give them a call, they can assist.

    www.theairtightshop.com

    €379.00 installed.

Alternatively, and going up in price is the Heatmiser one.

The person who installed your alarm system can install a gsm dialler thingy that can turn on your heating or lights. I know because i got it done for the heating

As far as I know the "climote" is on special introductory price of 299 euro. It looks a good piece of kit. A friend of mine installs them, can pm his number if you want.

I wonder can it control different zones or is it just a central switch?

Aidan, Did you get a PM as my "sent" box appears empty - so I assume no one has got any of my PM's! Not sure what is wrong but I sent twice now.

The climote supports up to 3 zones, it also has an auxiliary relay output too. The zones can be re-named as required for the application.
