Heres a beauty from the clare courier regarding Aer Lingus' possible movement of maintenance services from shannon.

Cllr Pat McMahon (Fianna fail) and I quote ''the shannon facility mainly services boeing 330 and 320 aircraft, with the closure of maintenance at shannon those planes will be withdrawn from shannon, which could effect the heathrow route which uses a 320'' he continues on again about its a 'stealth' move and ''appears to be due to under-capacity at hangar 6'' how true is this?? and again about ''this move will compound rumours that aer lingus will remove its winter services on the trans atlantic'' am I missing something?? he also says ''once again aer lingus is turning its back on shannon at a time other airlines are recognising the expertise and capacity available here in relation to airline maintenance'' unreal, you couldn't make this up,parish pump at best

Anyone else alarmed at this morons incompetence and rubbish?? who elects these to council, theres another article he wants a law introduced to prevent airlines charging for carry on bags!!!

Sure there's no point complaining to Cllr McMahon, he'll think you don't know what you're talking about unless you change your name to B320!!

He lost me at "Boeing 330"

But seriously, he's obviously another one of these Jackie Healy Rae sorts that got a handy number being a mouthpiece for all the misinformed parishioners, they neither have a clue what they're spouting nor do they care. The sad thing is that this man is paid very well to shout as loud as he can while being misinformed and ill educated on whatever subject is in the local news.

Good to see the Parish Pump that is Irish politics is still ticking over nicely - scary thing is that a lot of half-wits will vote for this cretin on the basis of his utterings.

Another Handi-capable politician from the shannon area (suprise :p ), alongside Timmy Dooley I can really see how Shannon Airport has suffered if this is the calibre of politics and possibly management.

    Boeing 330 :pac:

I had the now Minister for Transport call to my house while FG were out canvasing at the last election,I questioned him about selling off the likes of the ESB group and asked him some questions relating to the ESB and to some of it's operating companies and the expertise that they provide around the globe,And why would we want to sell them off to a foreign company who would more than likely take the contracts off the ESBI and move them to their home country making more people unemployed.
All I can say is the sh*te that came out of his mouth was unreal fact is these morans have not got a f**king clue how the real world operates or business for that matter,I'm not involved directly in the aviation biz anymore but still know a good few people who are and some of the stories from dealing with some of the chocolate teapots in the DOT to the local TD's would make you laugh.
