I was hoping to get some suggestions on a good cost effective dehumidifier I could get to help my father get rid of the dampness in his car. The drainage channels in the front got blocked and in the heavy rain, some water came in through front passenger area. I'd like to get the carpet and anywhere else dried as fast as possible. Thanks for the help!

Leave the heater on full blast with a window a tiny bit open.

Admit it, the leaf wet itself didnt it.

Only messing, maybe get a valet guy to use the wet vac on it and then all you will need is to leave the heater on for a while

If you haven't already, remove everything you can and put it indoors.
As said, take it somewhere where they can wet-vac it.
Do you know someone with a garage where you can leave it a day or so with the windows open?

Woodies sell de-humidifier yokes, can't remember the name though, comes in various sizes and you can buy refill crystals as well. Smallest one is about the size of a pound block of butter. Drop in and ask a sales assistant.

When ever i get anything valeted it stays outside with all doors open for as long as possible depending on the weather, this time of year a day normally does it

fill a biscuit tin with uncooked rice and leave it on the floor of the car near the affected area overnight with the lid off. The rice will soak up quite a lot of the moisture in the air.

Thanks for the suggestions! It at least helped convince my father to do something ASAP about drying it out. He didn't seem to pushed about it at first.
