Paypal scam

First time posting so bear with me.
Trying to sell a small boat on donedeal. Got a text today from following- "[girls name].m.sta". No number came up and obviously she wasn't already a contact. She asked me to contact her at email she supplied. After i did this i got a reply to my own email telling me how great the boat was, what a bargain, etc and the deal could be done tru paypal. This is the second time i have got this sort of interest about this boat. First time i was asked to provide my home address for "collection and transportation" purposes. The email address she gave was gmail and looked normal. The first time the guy (from london) wanted my paypal 'email' address and i know this time is a scam as well. Anyone else have any similar experiences?

I get it all the when trying to sell a car, sold good few already on DD and still keep getting text messages about making deals via Paypal.

I reported those people to DD but still getting those texts anyway.

Was thinking of contacting DD but it's not their fault who replies (or their problem really!). Even besides being p***ed off about having to deal with these people, could anyone tell me how can you text a stranger and get the number to come up the way it did? ("name".sta.m)

I don't think you can, they use some sort of computer messaging software.

Solution : if the transaction is under €2000(No verification required) , set up 2 new paypal accounts , received in one and transfer into the other , if you're honest( I presume you are) and they try to charge back and rip you off , they are doing a charge back to an empty account. I have used this method before with suspect deals and it's saved me from being ripped off.

That thing about the 2 grand is handy to know. Cheers for that. However the boat is worth a bit more (at the moment anyway. The way things are going it might not stay that way).

This could potentiall work, but more than likely PayPal will think you may be money laundering and you will have a lot of hassle resolving this.
