Yes, I know... there isn't one and mores the shame. The 42mm just seems too small and the 45.5mm too big!

It's been my medium term grail watch for a while now but just not sure about pulling the trigger. I think the 42mm would bug me for being a baby version and the 45.5mm was just huge recently when I tried it on. I don't want to wear a watch that screams look at me!

Of course I might get used to a bigger watch but just thinking if Omega had made one size of 44mm it would be perfect. What do people think? Thoughts on alternative?

For info, I mostly wear a Seiko diver (skx007) day to day which seems about the perfect size. Probably just a touch bigger than the smaller PO.

Of course this is probably just because I'm used to it...

I have a 45mm PO and love it

I do have a large wrist though

Give it a try....you will love it.

    Hmmm, don't know.

Have a reasonably average wrist size I think. Think I would be really conscious of it to start with.

Thing is... I'd want to pretty sure I'm gonna love it! Even if I get use to the size I just can't see it looking subtle to other people.

Edit. 'Subtle' may not be quite the right word but would like my watch to be some way discrete...

Mmmm, I want my Ferrari to be subtle... you know, so people won't notice it...;)

    Hey

I use this to check how sizes look

You can cut them out and have a look

Ha, I knew that would get taken up that way. Yeah, you could be right to a degree. I do accept that the 'Ferrari' will never be subtle but maybe the size is what pushes it over the edge for me.

It is only a few mm in the difference but the 45.5mm does just look huge compared to the 42mm. And the 42mm looks similarly small in comparison!

Bigger is better, anytime I see someone with a smaller seamaster, it looks terrible imo.....

I have a 7 inch wrist and used to own a 42 PO (CoAx 2500) and it was my everyday wearer. I used to also always wear larger Dive style watches Zinex, Bell & Ross (44- 46 size)etc as my recreational 't-shirt' watches. Whilst I no longer own my PO, I actually now wear watches from 39- 42.
I think in time, you'll find out what you find comfortable and what size is your 'sweet spot', unfortunately this may involve switching around a bit. Much therefore will depend on your wrist size, and how you plan to wear your PO. The PO does stand quite tall relative to other watches of this niche.
My other bit of advice is that imho the 42 size is much more popular and certainly from what I've noticed recently (since I've started looking for one again), commands a bit more resale value than the 45 models.
    Hope that helps

Strap choice also makes a difference with the PO. The bracelet makes it seem bigger. I have a 7.5" wrist and like 44-45mm watches, but the 45.5 with bracelet looked too big on me. I found it much better on the rubber strap. The 42 on bracelet was perfect.

Interesting. I would have thought the 45.5mm would be the big favourite but not for everyone obviously... maybe it is just too damn big.

Hmmm. Could I live with the 42mm... it does look tiny beside its big brother. Maybe I'll just need to go look for a new grail.

If you have the slightest reservation about either then this will continue to nag you and you'll never be entirely happy with it. My advice is to look elsewhere.
