Laptop screen help

    i replaced my sisters screen in her emachines laptop after she dropped it..problem i have is that when i connected it to charge the battery charger indicator flashes orange for a few seconds but nothing else happens..

    Laptop is dead..Any advice before i take to the pc repair shop..cheers.

    I can only think that you connected something the wrong way around or did not connect something that needed to be connected. Also, are you 100% certain that the screen you put in is full compatible.

    You may also have done some static damage to chips but I think this is unlikely. Other than tracing your steps very carefully and seeing is everything ok and connected properly and everything is compatible its hard to give you advice other than that.

    was it powering on before you changed the screen , and did you take the battery out before working on it

    unplug the flat cable from the back of the screen and see if the laptop turns on. If it does then you very likely have the cable the wrong way around.
