does anyone bar seriously high rollers still pay for this kind of service

i pay 15 euro per trade with TD waterhouse + a small yearly fee of some kind

a private advisory service costs 1 . 65% per trade + a yearly managment fee of 1% of the cost of your portfolio and you need a sizeable portfolio

my question is this , is the expertise of a very high calibre or is it perhaps aimed at regular traders rather than investors who buy to hold ?

Im the same with td waterhouse. Coudl never afford to go near the likes of davies or goodbody with their 10k minimum. I think those services are more people who have the money but know very little about investing or are looking for tax relief schemes/investments that those firms get into.

do many people really know much about investing , sometimes you need more than a willingness to buy and hold
