    Hi guys,

Where is the best place to get a new Battery for the above device? Am looking at the Apple website and they are 140 quid, then compu b are 149 quid, bit extortionate for a battery imho.. Anyone have any other options?

    Cheers

Ring apple they take it pretty seriously as it could cause the laptop to go on fire. Is it an old mac book pro?

Nah mate, its 2008 model, done well so far to get this far without explosion but its pretty bad now. Just seems like 140 quid is v expensive for a battery! thats why just wondering if anyone knew of any other places where they might be cheaper?! :)

So you don't mean where's "the best place" you mean "the cheapest place"?

Hong Kong via eBay. They sell exploding batteries very cheaply.

TBH if I was you I would spend the €140 on a Genuine part as it may save you alot in the long run

Indeed, not much consolation but if the new item were indeed to explode you could atleast sue the Apple. as for hong kong, impossible especially if you are the importer, As you would be liable.
