Looking for two pictures of street art, perhaps someone can help?

    Hi all

I was looking to get present for a friend and I know there are two pieces of graffiti/street art they really liked. The plan is to get good hi-res photo's of them and have them printed poster sized. I actually have shots of both somewhere but they are not particularly great, just taken in passing with a phone camera.

Anyway the two things I'm looking for are the large hen down on east wall road there was a very wide text that said "Greed is the knife and the scars run deep". It's entirely gone now but hoping someone has a good wide shot of it. I think it was done by Masser.

I have no idea what the etiquette of getting an electronic copy of the photos is. I'm just doing one of each on a large format digital print as a present so I hope that's okay. I'm happy to credit the photographer/artist on it but other than my gratitude I can offer little else.

take a gander through flickr. Here are a few of that street angel piece I suspect you're thinking of. All CC licensed. Check the specifics for details.

Yeah that's her all right. I linked it above. Hopefully I can find a hi-res version.

Or alternatively find a shot where the photographer has indicated up front that he or she is cool with people grabbing a copy for their own use, i.e. the CC licensed stuff I've linked above.

On a related not though, I'm sure there are copyright implications with at least some of the shots WRT to the actual subject of the picture itself. That's a whole other discussion thread though :)

em did you read the OP? I asked about the etiquette and I most certainly will not be stealing anything. This is an electronic picture of someone else's street art I'm looking for, not an original print from a photographer. I'm hoping to get a large format digital print done of each. Perhaps I wasn't clear about that.

Given the pieces involved I'd imagine there have been many good pictures taken.

Mase was selling prints of the Greed is the Knife piece I think. An actual screen print rather than a photo print. It would be nicer in my opinion. He did well with that whole plagiarised series.

that was not in the original post when I commented and if you look at the edit time it has been edited AFTER I posted mine....so at the time of my comment it was fair to assume you were not asking for etiquette and simply looking for high res images to print in poster size.

Either way - best of luck with your quest.

Indeed I did change the OP since it obviously wasn't clear, which I stated above. Either way I was asking photographers on a photography forum for a hi-res image of street art. Not to state the obvious but if I wanted to steal something I'd hardly be asking them for it. For future reference don't you dare suggest I'd steal anything.

Did have a look on his site but didn't see anything.

I've got some detail shots of that Angel piece on one of my harddrives. I'll dig them out and PM you a link to where you can download them.
