Tyre recommendation Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 2006

    Hi. I am just wondering if you can recommend me 4 tyres for a 2006 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi. The current tyres that are on it are 195/55/R15. It is a van but there is nothing heavy in it ever. I drive it easy. usually around city, traffic lights etc. Once or twice a month I drive from Dublin to Cork return. I am looking to spend €80 to €100 per tyre including fitting and old tyre disposed of.

    Is it better to order them online or can anyone recommend somewhere in Dublin to do this?

    There is only 1 rule when it comes to tyres. Dont buy cheap sh1te.

    Always, always, always buy premium brands. They are premium for a reason, you stop and corner 1000% better that any chinese ditch-finder

    If you cant afford premium brands, go the part-worn route.

    195/65 15 is the correct size for the Mk2 Focus.

    €80-85 should get you something in a premium brand tyre in that size, for example the Bridgestone Turanza T001 should be around that price.

    I know Dunlops were 80/corner about two weeks ago (same size as yours). For this price you can easily find premium brands, so no need to go online, waiting for delivery and all this hassle. Just go to tire shop, and make sure they won't force you to buy something you've never heard of.
