Laptop model number help!

    Have an ASUS laptop and need the model number to buy a new charger but can't see the model number on the back of the laptop. Does anybody know where I an find it? I've tried almost everything!!

    Did you try taking the battery off and looking there? It should be on the box you got it in also.

    Don't know if this may help but, instead of looking for a specific charger catering to a specific model, why not check out it's power requirements and what type of jack the laptop uses and finding the charger in accordance to that.
    Like, a charger from my Toshiba A660 uses the same charger from a Toshiba bought in '06.

    Otherwise, you could try

    – Checking the bottom left/right hand sides of the LCD panel (some laptops have the model number there)
    – The underside of the laptop
    – Or sometimes you have the model number by going to Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Information. The model number is bound to be at the top of System Summary.
