Dropped my car into a mechanic, not my usual guy as he's on holiday, with an oil leak.

I asked him to find it and fix it. Got the car back, job done, €190. He did say there could be oil leaking still but it would just be the old oil driping off the engine block.

However my car is leaking oil, not as much though, but its from the engine itself as the level on the lipstick is gradually falling.

My question is if I bring the car back should he fix it at no extra cost as he didn't do it right the first time?

If not, then id rather just go back to my usual guy.

is it an old car? It could be burning it. How gradual is gradual?

Put a newspaper under the car and you will get a better reflection on how much oil is leaking. If you paid to have the leak repaired then take it back and you are entitled to have it fixed free of charge ;)

You paid him €190 to fix a problem, he didn't fix it, bring it back and either get a refund or the job done properly

Not Really tho, there could have been more than one leak. If the leak is from the same place then yes it should be fixed foc but if not thats another job that needs to be done. More info needed
