Can ye give me an estimate of what it will cost? Biggest problem was they never put grease nipples on the hubs

for parts alone was about 900 i think for shaft and all new bearings and seals, would have done it myself but would probably cos 800 to 1000 for garage to do it, this is the shaft going into the center box, have already done the outside hub and bearings and seals, **** of a job to take off but not to bad on parts just probably few hundred for both sides

Local mechanic here would be able to do it id say. Its the same axle that's in the Massey's.
Where did you get the parts?

ya same as older massey, got them from landini dearler happened to be closer and needed other parts, i priced getting a one off breaker but not much in difference and you dont know how bad that could be too, landini garage can do a repair job but would cost a bit too and think mine is gone to far

I think what happened ours was the bearing in the hub got worn and put pressure on the crown and pinion and wrung it off. Fierce hard to do stuff without 4wd

Lucky we got rid of ours when we did :P, I think the 4wd was still working anyways ha!

    Lucky you!

Must say I'm tempted to bore out the hubs to put a nipple on either side but not sure if it would help really.

Always keep plenty of grease in the centre ones anyway here.

Think they do that on the 390 axles. Supposed to work
