    heading to barbados on september 9th .going to the butterfly beach hotel in christ church .it looks really nice .has anyone here ever been there and whats there to do there eg ,main attractions ,wildlife parks water things ect

    I was hoping someone else would reply to you as my info is a bit out of date....was there in 1995, nice clean policed beaches, lovely warm sea about 2 degrees lower than air temperature. Hotest place I've ever been!!!
    The locals were very friendly, the local rum punch was great :D

    There wasn't a lot to see as seemingly the island was hit by a hurricane back in the 1950's and pretty much levelled the place, you can get tours of the island though, thought Bridgetown was a bit of a kip. Outside of the touristy spots there was plenty of poverty to be seen

    Eating out was expensive & the choice limited, we were in the Rockly beach area

    A couple with us hired a mini moke (small roofless car) came back well burnt & were very sick for a few days after

    Having said that, we enjoyed it very much but that was 17 years ago, a lot could have changed since
