Hey the junior cert is starting on wednesday, and i need alot of study tips. I got really lazy coming up to the exams because of my mock grades, this is what I got English 54% Maths 79% Business 91% Science 77% History 76% Music 69% Geography 68% Religion 78% German 58% and that was with no study what so ever. All of the subjects are higher level, so I thought I'm gonna be grand for the real thing. However, I really need some study tips for someone who's only starting to study 2 days before the exams, any help? Oh yeah and whats the story with the Science experiment book(Cousework A) because my teacher didn't collect mine?

The.... The teacher didn't collect it? That could be a problem. Big one too. Go straight in and talk to one of the teachers before the science exam.

At this point there's not too much you can get done, I'm sad to say. But if you work like hell you can get in some info. Here's a study plan that someone told me on here a little while ago.

Study in sets of 45 minutes. Take a 10 minute break after one set of 45 minutes, and do this three times. That's a block. Allocate one subject to one block, and do two or three blocks.

Yeah my science teacher is a dope,I'll have a word with the other teachers. Alright I was kind of expecting not being able to get alot done, so I pretty much decided to only focus on a few subjects which I'm doing for leaving cert and ones I know I can do well in.

The coursework that goes in the envelope should have been collected, but are you talking about your experiment book? (the one that's worth 10%)
Because my science teacher just left all of them in the room, for an examiner to check,

Before you start your exam tomorrow morning, find the school Examinations Secretary and give him/her your booklet.

Tell him/her that there may be others from your class who have not handed them in.

Watch the blood drain from his/her face.

**edit** as James said, if it's the 10% booklet it stays in the school.

Yeah it is my 10% percent booklet, my 25% one got collected back in April sometime. Alright so can't I not just give it to a teacher I know to put it in the place where they are kept?

    Hey,

I'm working as an exam attendant this year.

The Experiment Coursework Reports, worth 10%, and normally done in a hardback copy should be left in the school. There will be no problems once you speak to the exam secretary about it and it's put in the same place as all the other ones.

BUT, at the end of the day, this 10% is almost a given. As in: the chances of your copy being checked are very very small. The State Examinations Commission have a handful of examiners who randomly inspect a small amount of copies from random schools across the country. As far as I know, our school has never been checked, but I don't know how they pick them out.

So hand it in tomorrow. But I would not be too worried if you can't or if there is an issue, as the chance of being caught seems to be slim. But definitely deal with this tomorrow just to be sure.

    V.
