Changing Country in Android Store

Hi,

I have a Samsung Europa mobile that I use in Norway. I want to use Spotify app on the mobile but it doesnt come up in the android store as Spotify is not in Ireland. Thus I need to change the country location in the store. How do I do this?

Any help is appreciated.

AFAIK the market picks up your location automatically and there's no way of changing it. IE. When you're in Norway it'll automatically show the Norwegian store and in Ireland the Irish Store. I'd say root and run market enabler is the only way around it.

Doesnt seem to pick it up. I have been using it in Norway but still only detects Ireland with marketplace. I will try market enabler and see how that goes.

just sideload the app job done

Go to http://www.spotify.com/uk/download/previews/ and download the .apk from there and stick it on your phone

Install from an apk file rather than the market.

Cheers, know what You mean. Doesn't solve my issue right enough. I have an app that appears on my market, but since I'be changed to Miui xj Rom it doesn't show in 'my apps' in the Play store I go back to stock and its there lol

To update/check for updates I need to go back to stock etc which is a pain tbh.

Sounds like its been added as a system app and isnt market linked. If you're rooted titanium can attempt to force link.

Another way to solve your problem would have been using market enabler ( http://code.google.com/p/market-enabler/downloads/list) . Using the different network codes ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code) you can change your country settings for the market. You may need to root your phone first
