    well...
Does anyone have any tips on gaelic football, Our championship is startin up soon and this is the big one! We are already trainin 2 nites a week for this.
What would ye consider to be important in the time of championship football? fitness? ability to put the ball through the eye of a needle? communication between players?

Fitness, ability, the opponents, concentration, good anticipation, injuries, the ref, bad misses, luck, bad luck, subs, the opponents subs, the weather, communication, team mates, tactics, umpires, the crowd......I could probably add more to the list if I thought about it.

There is no hard and fast rule or strategy I think. Championship games have a hundred and one things that can go right or wrong.
You train, you do your best and whatever happens, happens.

    It depends on:

    > what level you're playing at (underage/senior/junior/A or B)
    > the number of resources you have to hand (have you 8 lads training or 28)
    > the age profile of the panel (loads of young lads or too much experience)
    > the skill level of the panel
    > the fitness level of the panel
    > level of enthusiasm for training that resides within the panel (keen or couldn't be arsed)
    > recent championship form (contenders or miles off)

With more information, you might get a better response suited to your team.

Otherwise, you'll have to make do with a general spiel as per above.
