memory card error

I got a new memory card a couple of days ago and never formatted it which I think is what has caused me these problems.
Sometimes when I used it random photos would come up with blocks of blue or green or some other colour so you couldnt see the images. Then today I was editing some photos I took on picasa and it said it didnt recognise some files so I tried to import them into picasa again, then all of a sudden everything vanished! I now have no photos on the memory card and I hadnt saved them to my computer yet
Then I tried several recovery software programs but none turned up all my images. Now an error is coming up that m card isnt recognised by the computer or any camera I tried. SO annoyed!

    Can anyone help me please???

What kind of card is it?
It might be fake one. Did you get it from genuine seller?
Are you using card reader or you're downloading photos directly from your camera?
If some photos contain blocks of blue or green then your card might have some bad blocks.

Ya I think it might be a fake card, I bought it off ebay. But the blocks of colour dont come up in the camera its only on the computer?
I putting the card into the card reader on the laptop! I wont use the card anymore but is there anyway I can get those photos back? I really dont want to lose them :(

    try this.

Free Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery tool can help you recover lost images from corrupted or accidentally formatted digital camera memory cards. Program works with all types of memory cards. It's able to recover images from formatted cards. Reads corrupted cards (even if they're not recognized by Windows). Recovers JPEG, TIF (and most of RAW) files. Program should be able to read all memory cards currently available on the market.

Thanks for the link but at the moment I cant even try it as my computer isnt recognising the card anymore and neither is my camera! Everything just keeps getting worse with this memory card

Get external card reader e.g. SanDisk ImageMate and try to use your card via external reader. Don't use any defrag or scandisk software, but get RescuePRO or Tiramisu data recovery.
Anyways you really need these photos? It's worth the struggle?

Where are you based ? Some of these photo shops will charge you quite a bit.
I hope you get your photos back.

Dropped it into a photoshop today and they quoted me 30 euro for it :( Will find out Thursday if they suceed!
This will teach me to skimp on memory cards off ebay even though iv bought a couple of a different seller before and they were fine so I think Im going to open a dispute on ebay about this one and hopefully get my money back for what I paid for the card anyway.

    Thanks for all yer help!

It's not that much for data recovery. By the way, i've read about CF card which caused error on mainboard and it has to be fixed (mainboard) in two DSLR bodies. Cost €250. That's why I'd rather pay more for memory card and don't use someone else's card with my body. Good luck with ebay.
