RIP to those involved. too early to say what could have been the cause. .

"All 153 of the passengers on board the Dana Air flight from Abuja to Lagos have been killed, and Nigeria's emergency services said there were likely more casualties on the ground.

Thousands of people crowded around a smouldering two-story tin-roofed building into which the aircraft had plunged."

I did hear of a cargo plane, a B727, crashing in to a minibus on the BBC Radio 4 news this morning at 5am. I was begining to think I might have heard an inacurate early report. I'm afraid the B727 crashed in Accra, Ghana and was a seperate incident. Not exactly what you want to hear any day.

How many 727s still in commercial service? They're getting a bit long in the tooth now aren't they?

I believe Iran Air still has three of them in operation, the nose wheel jammed on one of them last year.
