Anyone up for a Bank holiday monday spin? Gonna head out from Baldoyle with 80k in mind. Maybe stop for a bit at The Grange, Ballyboughal.

I plan on heading out at about 8 am...

I'll head over to Swords via Portmarnock/Malahide. Get there around 8.30 at the Swords CC roundabout...

Got out the door a few mins late so didn't get to swords till 8.40. Waited a bit but failed to find rt66 so I reckoned he'd gone on. Got a wave from lennymc who had just come down from Drogheda in no time flat...

Headed off solo on the back roads north up to nevit then across to man o' war and over to skerries. Climbing up to ardgillan, I was overtaken by a swords group and next thing I heard: "There's more than one roundabout in Swords you know"... T'was rt66 having picked up the swords spin. I fell in with them over to naul and down to oldtown. Pace was a bit high so I turned for the Grange and tea. Lovely weather with a brisk sea breeze. 91k at 24.9kph average..

Did Nevitt back to Ballyboughal on Saturday. Recent surface dressing has left tonnes of chippings everywhere :(

It's great that they are resurfacing the roads out there. If our club could run two races over it in the last week, you can put up with a bit of crunchiness for a few minutes.

Gorgeous. Huge scones with blackberries in them, jam and cream and a pot of Earl Grey...

Agreed, no probs with resurfacing as such, and considering the general state of the roads in NCD, it is to be welcomed. Just hope nobody racing had to brake too hard or in a hurry...

On that decent on Saturday, I got showered in the face a few times by cars hammering the opposite way. Not serious at all, but not pleasant either :p

I was out around Howth and there were many, many people out on bikes enjoying the sun. Great day for it, shame the rest of the week looks pants!
