    Hi
Our local mast has been recently enabled by Ripplecom. I am contemplating signing up for their 8mb service including phone package.

Any fellow boardies using Ripplecom ?
How do you find them for speed and reliability ?

    Thanks for any inputs

Ripplecom's network is comprised of the old networks of several Internet providers that were amalgamated into the new Ripplecom network (Amocom, ICE, Last Mile, etc)

Depending on what part of the country you're in, you can get unreal service or very poor service, so your location would be a good starting point. :)

I have been waiting 5 weeks now for an engineer... not even for the installation, just to have him ring and confirm a date. I have been on the phone to them non stop over it and every time its the same story.. we have emailed him, he will get back to you.

So far I'm really not impressed with them. Makes me wonder if there was a fault in the network how quickly they would fix it. Apparently Ripplecom use to be Ice Broadband who had a terrible history of customer service and a network that would make you cringe.

Parts of the ripplecom network are ex Ice, other parts are ex Amocom, ex Last Mile etc. I am an ex Amocom customer and I usually have nothing to complain about, the only thing being the download cap, which is my only gripe.

Ahh I wasn't aware it was a group of other networks. Sorry for the misinformation. Still waiting on the engineer though :D
