Trying to find the last few courses for my CAO and I'm stuck between Spanish and Economics (both interesting, Spain is fairly screwed though) and French and sociology. I love French and while sociolgy seems interesting I'm worried it won't be challenging enough and more importantly, it will never be useful for anything. Which course would be better in terms of actual skills?

I think you've answered your own question! I'd definitely recommend the economics route.

There's also the option of doing Business, Economics and Social Studies. You get the option to do a language module or Law with it (though you have to give it up after First Year). In first year you study Business, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Maths and Statics. Then you specialise in two of Business, Economics, Sociology and Political Science in second year.

If not, I'd go with Economics over Sociology, much more useful.
