few problems with passat tdi

hi all

got a 2002 passat tdi that i had to replace the ccm due to water damage,

its working ok now but for the remote central locking is not working and the fuel cap wont release but boot will from switches on the door.

I would like to know how to reprogram the remote/key in manually(only have one key)

was the part no. identical on both modules?

yes same part number,

my old one will still work the windows and mirrors and boot release but not interior lights or remote central locking

this other secondhand and tested ccm i got will work all windows,mirrors, interior lights but not remote central locking

when i press the button on the key you can hear the ccm clicking but nothing happens, think may need coded in

paultronix

you will need to code the remote with diagnostics,no security code needed.

Water ingress is often the cause of ccm issues in these so before you start trying to code keys etc, check the plug connectors and wires to the ccm for any corrosion first.
