Once the camera has manual controls you should be fine with a nd grad. Does the front element rotate when focussing?

no element does not rotate,it has a single lens which moves in and out to go from wide angle to optical 10x zoom it has an adapter ring that holds 55mm uv or polariser filter.
the lens is moved by pressing wide to telephoto button on the camera
