Afraid not, once Aldi/Lidl is mentioned there is a tendency to blanket kneejerk responses regardless of even seeing the equipment let alone trying.

This might be of some use, at least gives an idea of specs.

Cant see much point in portable HD kit at the moment when SD kit is available for much cheaper, how many PCTI caravans feature 40+inch HD TVs. Few if any mainstream channels are currently HD only.

Dish may be useable but too small for reliable reception everywhere or in rain.

Agreed about the screen size. I admit I know SFA about caravanning but would have thought that the most likely time you would be stuck indoors would be during bad weather when that dish is least likely to work.

Not much better here, my own expertise on the subject stretches to Hell:rolleyes:.
This piddly summer weather might not have a significant effect on the reception even though the dish is small and the satellite far away, heavy rain will. Somebody might want to put kids to bed with MillyMolly or catch some relis on a wedding program. It's a compromise between dish reliability and portability and if the rain is heavy and loud you just have to resort to singing and ceili dancing anyway. There IS a Ted answer to every situation.:D

wil, 35cm dish is not a kneejerk reaction.

It might be fine in Germany for 19.2 but not here!

Do the people in ALDI even check to see the compatibility of these outside where they were originally intended for ? Obviously not. These are camping dishes for
    Central Europe.

Stay away OP. Do you have a satellite dish and satellite receiver at all at present ? If you do there are cheap ways to add a second LNB to a Sky dish with a Diseqc switch.

Cant get more kneejerk than this

    Save your money, it's crap

Some seasoned posters tend to have a blanket response to Aldi/Lidl with little or no reference to the technical side or real testing.
It does help to qualify the "crap" so people can learn and know what they need.

Absolutely agree, 35cm is too small for 19.2, 80cm probably ok 60cm might be the minimum depending where he is. If actually going camping in Europe consider buying a dish wherever you go.
Got the impression OP was more interested in the box than the dish.

Regardless of the technical merit of Ald/Lidl they do provide many a stepping stone and exposure to the world of satellite reception that might never have translated in to debate that goes on here and the business that eventually goes your way. Ill wind?

35cm is too small for most of Ireland even in light drizzle for Freesat.

Lidl and Aldi quality isn't what it was when they started here and stupidly inadequate and awkward FTA generic sat gear drives people into the arms of Sky and UPC.

Unless you want mainland Europe TV and you do want UK FTA TV then the only sensible solution is a Freesat HD or Freesat+ HD PVR and MINIMUM 60cm in South East and up to 80cm in some more "edges" of the West, South West or North west depending on rain margin. Multifeed, Mainland European or Saorsat + Freesat needs usually bigger dishes.

Stepping stones that wobble and ditch you in a festering sewer are pointless.
