Radeon HD 4350 upgrade

I have a old HP computer with a 330w psu and a Radeon HD 4350. I was wondering what would be a good upgrade preferably without changing the PSU. I would like to play COD4 on high settings and BFBC2 on low-medium setting with decent fps. Just wondering if any of you have any suggestions.

You should be able to get a lowish end card for that.

What's the rest of the system and can you give more details on the PSU? Picture of the side would be good. Also just check whether the card is PCI-E or AGP.

I am willing to overclock. At the moment the core clock is 700mhz and the memory is 570mhz.

You could pick up a Radeon 7770 or 7750. The 7770 is about €125-140 and the 7750 is about €100. The total power draw of a system with a 7770 is 250 watts so that might be a bit close as your PSU is old, so maybe get the 7750 which doesn't even need additional power?

It's a bit expensive. I would prefer to get one for 30-60 euro because i will be getting a 900-1000 euro PC in August.

What's your monitor resolution?
And if you're building a PC in 2 months, is it really a good idea to buy a sub-standard graphics card now, maybe just put it towards a really good one when you're getting your gaming rig?

Anyway, this is as low as you can go.

I'm not getting it for him lol. I'm just trying to find out what would be a good upgrade

I picked up a 4870 on adverts for €50 a few weeks back - bit expensive but came with all the boxes etc so good for resale. Have a look there and haggle. Watch out there are some really muppets trying to sell stuff for close to (or over!) rrp. €50 for a 4870 / 5870 is where I'd pitch it - maybe a bit more if there is a mint 5870.

The 5870 is quite a powerful GPU; better than a 6870. However, I wouldn't go running it on a 300W GPU.

I don't know who makes HP PSUs, so if you get a chance, open up the case and have a look at the make and model of the PSU so we can be sure that it's up to the task. That said, a 6670 would probably be okay in there.
